| | Description | Ultrasone Zino Music lovers, concerned about the effects that ear buds have on their hearing, will be glad to know a safer and better sounding headphone solution is here. Ultrasone introduces a new portable headphone called Zino. Designed for use with iPods, MP3 players and other portable music players, Ultrasone's Zino features the company's patented S-LogicTM and ULETM safe listening technologies in an ultra-mobile design. Ultrasone has given the Zino a sleek, modern look with gunmetal black, brushed aluminum ear cups and silver colored diamond-cut aluminum nameplates. Even though the Zino was designed for mobile applications, it features two powerful 40mm gold plated drivers, which most commonly are found in full-sized studio headphones. The Zino's foldable design allows for easy storage and safe transportation in the included hard carrying case. Despite its small size, the Zino utilizes Ultrasone's patented S-LogicTM technology. Rather than directing the sound to the listener's ear canal, as most conventional headphones do, S-Logic technology employs decentralized drivers that direct audio to the listener's outer ear. This technology not only gives the user a natural surround experience in a stereo headphone by utilizing the ear's anatonomy, but it also reduces sound pressure on the eardrums by an astonishing 40%. Additionally, the Zino features MU-Metal shielding (ULE technology) that reduces the amount of radiation directed to the listener by up to 98%, as compared to conventional headphones. | |

Good sound, poor construction Aug 28, 2010 Had these for four months. Sounded decent, and were comfortable to wear- seemed perfect for what I wanted them for. But now wire is loose and sound cuts in and out. The crap headphones that came with my ipod were better. hoping I will get full refund.
Uncomfortable and sound not good at all Jul 14, 2010 I didn't like these headphones at all, pretty much hated them from the moment I put them on. I gave them 2 weeks to try and get used to the fit, but no dice. The sound quality was sub-par in almost every way. I don't mean to be curt about these phones but I can't see any reason at all to buy them.
Try the 15G instead if you want an Ultrasone. Much more comfortable and the sound quality is actually quite good. However, their claims about EMF reduction is not true with this model.
Great Sound! Jun 05, 2010 What a fantastic sound! I had never heard of these headphones before, but now that I have I will never go back to another headphone. Comfortable, stylish, and compact.... this product delivers! The sound is very crisp, and it is not bass heavy, like other comparable headphones. Fully adjustable headband.
Shrill sound May 15, 2010 The headphones are comfortable, the collapsible design is a nice touch, and the finish is spiffy (if you can keep fingerprints off it). BUT the sound is simply unacceptable. I don't know if the set I received was defective, but the sound wasn't just mediocre or have one or two minor flaws, it was simply the worst sounding headphones I've ever listened to. The high frequencies were jacked up so much, and the mid and low frequencies so seriously attenuated, that everything sounded painfully shrill and screechy. I'm well acquainted with headphones that emphasize the high frequencies a little to give the sound a shimmery/silvery quality, but this went way beyond that. It was so unpleasant to listen to that I couldn't even listen to a single song all the way through. The frequency response was so distorted that timbres were obviously off. Human voices, especially solos, sounded metallic and robotic. Genres of music that involve many high notes at a fast tempo, like trance, resulted in a wall of screaming noise. My $10 earbuds produce a more natural sound than these!
Great headphones May 09, 2010 These guys do the job. Using them I can even understand Adriana Huffington! They're very hard to fit back into the carrying case - so when you first open it look to see how it was done in the factory.
