It doesn't stick like it should, but, man, is it cool looking!! Jun 12, 2010 Yeah, yeah...so it doesn't stick to our table like it should. Big deal! It looks totally awesome, it fits in our diaper bag for road trips and our daughter is already in love with those groovy utensils and that little smiley face under the plate...so, what's not to love here?
So, if you're looking for a slick, stylish kid's plate, this is the one for you! Rock on, Skip Hop!!

Love it, but doesn't fit on highchair tray... Apr 17, 2010 Love this concept, and design, the utencils are perfect for my 14 month old's hands.
...I just don't understand why the base of the plate [the rubber non-skid part] doesn't fit on my highchair tray!
Who designed this?
We have a lovely, modern highchair, this should all work together!
disappointed Apr 17, 2010 I wanted to use this on my son's high chair, but the mat is too big to fit. When placed on the kitchen table it slides around. It doesn't move as easily as if there were no mat, but the purpose of purchasing it was so it wouldn't move at all. The concept is great....only if it served it's purpose.

bulky, inconvenient, not resistant to messes Jan 22, 2010 Despite having a small eating surface, the tray-plate combois bulky and inconvenient to store, as it doesn't nest with or fill the same space as any other plates. The non-skid surface will prevent hockey-puck-like slides across a table, but doesn't stop the plate from being pushed around. The tray is just as easy for my 14-mo-old son to flip over as any other plate. He can also easily separate the dish from the tray. Our son has certainly never noticed the "Happy face" cutout in the tray - he's too busy throwing things around. In my opinion, a much better buy would be a simple, round plate made of a safe plastic. This Skip Hop plate is made of recyclable-no.-5, which I believe is a safe plastic.
Great! Dec 20, 2009 My son has a Keekaroo highchair which allows him to sit at the table with us without the use of a tray. This plate stays put and and washes well. He is able to slide it a bit but can not pull the plate out. He is also not a picky eater so he is more interested in his food than moving the plate. For a picky eater who rather play this may not stay put as long.
