Works well for my purposes May 07, 2012
By Alexey I wanted a keyboard that feels close enough to a piano (I was raised a piano player), but had the functionality of a nice midi controller. This is also one of the lowest profile 88 key keyboard that you can buy. Onboard sounds sound fine (I definitely didn't want to be booting up a DAW and using midi every time I wanted to figure out the tune I was humming). I haven't every connected it via USB to my computer because I don't trust M-Audio drivers. Currently just using the midi out into a MOTU midi interface and its flawless.
The keys essentially feel like a very well-played cheap upright piano. Which is about the best you can get without going all out hammer action. Also, the velocities for the black keys seems to be a bit louder (or more sensitive) than for the white keys. But I think the latest firmware update fixed that. Anyways, I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase. Hopefully this thing doesn't give out any time soon.

Pro Keys Sono - Great keyboard, doesn't work with XP Aug 21, 2011
By jazzzy This keyboard has a great feel, great simplicity, and fantastic internal sounds. Unfortunately, I've had a lot of problems trying to get the audio interface and MIDI portion to work with Windows XP. Customer service has been nice but basically they blame it on the operating system, so they don't think it's their responsibility to try to fix it. I've heard it works well with a Mac or Windows 7, though. The audio interface is *ok* - works for a demo, but too much "shhh" in the sound for serious recording purposes. This keyboard would be appropriate for beginner piano players who listen through the headphones or hook it up to an amp. However, if you're looking for a keyboard to hook to your computer and use as a controller and audio interface, and you use XP, I would be curious if it works for you. Also, they don't make the music stands any more, that might be a problem if you plan to read music while you play it.

Carcinogenic Keyboard Sep 03, 2011
By Mark Twain **WARNING** This keyboard is manufactured with chemicals that cause cancer and birth defects. There is a warning in the manual and, "Wash hands after use" is printed in bold. It sounds ridiculous, but it's true. On top of that, the keys aren't cut very well. They have sharp edges. Not that that mattered very much to me once I read the warning in the manual. The fact that the keyboard is carcinogenic was enough for me to return it to the seller. I had to pay a 10% restocking fee though. Damn you, M-Audio.
