THIS THING ROCKS! May 13, 2007
By Joel the Drummist This worked for me instantly. I hooked it up with Pro Tools M-Powered and everything worked as it said it would. There may be better sound cards on the marked, but not at this price and with a built in control surface. I knew very little when a bought it and there is a large learning curve for any Pro Tools setup. Works with other software too.
All in, it's working better then I expected.

Great Product May 29, 2009
By Beyoung Yu I purchased this two years ago. The only problem I have ever had with it is the fader brain died and I had to send it back out to maudio for repair which cost me 130 dollars. That being said, I never turn it off. My only real grip is sometimes the lcd screen will not reset and get a little buggy. It would be nice if maudio made another update for this since the last one they made was in 05.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy m-audio gear Dec 04, 2011

I was of course a broke musician who was excited that m-audio was in my price range to get me started recording. I bought one of those m-box's and out grew it and then saved up for the project mix i/o. It has a lot of really great features and I would absolutely love this product if it didn't break so often and have so many issues with m-audio's drivers. This is one of those machines that once or twice a year, you'll have to spend several hours if not days trouble shooting why it suddenly stopped working or why it's not communicating with protools or why your computer is not recognizing the hardware or why you're getting unwanted noise on a channel and so on...
Save your money and buy something else. I have bought several m-audio devices and the only thing I didn't have problems with was the trigger finger midi controller. Every thing else has had way more problems than any device I've owned. I will not buy m-audio again and am about to ditch my project mix i/o, because it's ruined a day I had set aside to record for the last time.

Projectmix I/0 holds it down it`s up to you DAW to finish the job Jul 31, 2006

To be honest when I first purchased this item I thought there had to be something wrong. "This price with motorized faders" plus a sound card. I`m using the project mix with Pro Tools M-powered and once I got through the workstation not recognizing the device thinking I wasted my money. You see a eleven hundred dollars is just to much to just give up on the project mix. Needless to say when I got it up an running watching those faders fly made me feel like I was Dr. Dre Behind the boards, now I cant stay out of my studio I`ve already completed 38 songs start to finish and am in the process of inking a deal. The project mix played an important role in this process. I really suggest purchasing this item if you can afford to.
