Description

The M-Audio Axiom Pro 61 keyboard controller builds on the acclaimed Axiom 61 with premium TruTouch action, proprietary HyperControl MIDI mapping technology and other cutting-edge enhancements. HyperControl automatically maps the keyboard's 65 controls to commonly accessed parameters in digital audio workstations including Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic and Reason, as well as software instruments. The constant two-way link with your host DAW means the keyboard's controls are always in sync with your software's active parameters. The intuitive graphic LCD constantly updates the current values, which ensures seamless editing and prevents parameter jumps--even when plug-ins are closed. Toggle instantly between Mixer and Instrument control modes. Map buttons to send QWERTY key commands right from the Axiom Pro 61. Save settings to 50 memory locations--each with four profiles of quick recall via the intuitive graphic LCD. Now you can control your entire session right from your Axiom Pro 61.

5Very nice even without hypercontrol  Aug 14, 2010 By WIll Chance
I chose the Axiom Pro 61 mainly for its portability since I will soon have a surgery with a long recovery period and I wanted to still be able to play music even when I'm stuck in bed. I was concerned about not having hypercontrol with FL studio which is the main DAW that I use, but setup was a breeze. I particularly like the sliders, they provide smooth action with enough resistance for good feel. The knobs, pads, and buttons are completely satisfactory ad the semi weighted keys are great. The fact that it can be powered through USB means that I can grab my laptop and Axiom Pro and make music anywhere I please. I was going to rate this product 4/5 because it lacked presets for FL Studio when other controllers such as Cakewalk's have it, but the setup was so easy that I still give this product a 5/5.

5INCREDIBLE DEVICE  Jan 04, 2012 By that guy
THE AXIOM PRO IS A VERY POWERFUL TOOL! IT LITERALLY ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR A MOUSE AND KEYBOARD! I AM RUNNING IT WITH PRO TOOLS 8 AND REASON 5.0, THE DRIVERS ARE ALREADY PROGRAMMED FOR YOU. ITS AS CLOSE TO PLUG AND PLAY AS YOU WILL EVER GET. I LOVE THIS CONTROL SURFACE. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT ABOUT THIS PRODUCT, IGNORE IT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

5Excellent midi keyboard and control surface  Oct 02, 2011 By White
This is not a synth. It's a midi keyboard and control surface. You must have synth software in your computer to use this.

It is well designed, a little "plastic" feeling, but rugged enough. Some people had issues with sticky keys. My unit does too, but, not so that I care about it - it plays just fine. You can map the sliders and dial buttons to software components.

Now that it also works natively with Presonus Studio One it is an ideal way to both enter music and control the DAW.

Highly recommended.

5Love this thing  Mar 09, 2011 By O. Lozneanu
As a music producer i personally love the customization and flexibility of this product. I can't tell you more than what the specs already tell you. This product is especially amazing with ableton since you can set keys to every part of the keyboard and ok with other things for Midi and basic bending, drumpad, etc. uses.

5Working perfectly  Apr 25, 2011 By OMBOR10
My first MIDI controller, I'm using protools 8 and an IMac, you don't need to install anything if you are a mac user, just plug it via USB and is ready to go, with the octave bottom option is good to have access to the whole piano scales if you are not playing something like Franz Liszt this option is very handle, otherwise you may want 88 keys, very happy with the purchase and 100 dls cheaper than any other store on the web.
