By MarvinBurns So far as I have used it and I'm only scratching the surface, this mixing console is a dream mated with Pro Logic on my Mac and is doing a wonderful job. I didn't really expect to get the quality of recorded sound that I am listening to, although I must admit that I did expect it to be good.
If you're a home or small professional group that wants to create your own work, I say "Get one of these it's great"

Great Sound and Fantastic Recording Capabilities Jan 27, 2012
By Robert M. Odonnell I replaced a Behringer 18 channel with the Phonic 18U for the main purpose of recording and was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. With 16 streaming input channels and two returns on Firewire you are able to record a live session with separate tracks for each vocal and instrument. Matched with Sonar X1 it works flawlessly. It took a while to get the best working driver for Windows 7 64 Bit, but that is the way nowadays with most everything. If your looking to record your band whether live or multi-track this is the unit for you for little money.

By Echoes I have owned one of these desks for over a year and it has enabled me to do loads of recording. The quality is great!. It also is just fine as a mixer when not doing recording as I use it at band practice every week. The built in effects are ok for live performances but I use plugins with my software for recordings. Well worth the money. Is worth so much more than it's price. An easy 5 stars!
